"Exploring Color & Character Relationships"Art Premiere & Cocktail PartyThis new exhibit shows how applying colors can either support or change the role of characters in a scene. How colors can change spatial relationships. And how our cultural associations with colors can change a story in its entirety. There is also a unique interactive experience that allows you to direct which colors are given to characters. Once you have created custom images, you will be able to send them to your phone or order prints. We are celebrating the premiere of this new exhibit and works by Tom Suhler with an Austin casual cocktail party. The gallery will display images never before seen in a public show. Additionally, there will also be over 30 images of Suhler’s previous works and several videos. Suhler will be on hand discussing these works and signing copies of his book, UnVeiled. " I have spent majority of the last year creating these works and this exhibit. Moving through the exhibit reveals insights about relationships between colors, our relationship with color and character relationships within my imagery. The final piece of the exhibit enables you to use these insights. You get to choose the colors that are applied to the characters customizing images to your taste. ", Tom Suhler. "Accommodating all the new and existing works forced me to get creative and expand the gallery space into the studio. So I created an arced hanging wall and invented a new hanging system. I tried to keep things as green as possible and continued to use LED lighting on this new wall like I’ve done in the gallery."
